Something about me.... hm..

My name is Deepika, I have three passions in my life, reading, writing and music. These three go far back as I recently found out when I dug out a collection of poems that I wrote when I was nearly seven years old. I had forgotten about them. I am now 21, still going strong when it comes to writing.

I am the person who likes to gift poems and short stories that I have written to people on special occations. My varried interests drive people insane. I can listen to Black eyed peas in the morning and someone would find me in the dark listening to Vivaldi or Tchaikovsky in the night. I am currently learning to play the violin and believe me when I say it, it is a bloody nightmare to try to get the hang of that instrument. In the end, though, it is worth the effort because it produces the most beautiful music.

I have a keen interest in history, mythology and ancient civilizations as well. I love to read about them try to know as much as I can about them as well.

I love studying languages. Currently, I am learning Japanese after which I plan to learn Sanskrit so you propably guessed, I am multi-lingual.

Aside from this, I am a gadget freak. I love fidiling with gadgets, learning as much as I can about technology. I guess that makes me somewhat of a computer nerd as well though my knowledge about such things is not too advanced...

As for reading. I have no particular interests about the things I read. My only requirement is that it should have a good, reasonable plot and it should be well written. However, I love historical romances. I love stories that describe the culture and people of different countries. I like fantasy if they are well written and absolutely adore anything in relation to vampires and similar legands.

Can't think of anything else, so I will stop now...
