One night, one mistake, one moment, can change a person...
So I guess I owe you a couple of explanations as to why I haven't been around for the past few month.
Earlier this year, around February time, I was diagnosed with depression and something called ME, aka Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I have not had the mental capacity or concentration to sit down and continue writing something like The Things You Don't Know About Me. That said, I have still be writing, mainly experimenting with different ideas. I don't know when I shall get back to writing as much as I was before I became ill (which is a year ago this November) but my first priority is getting better, I'm afraid. I hope you all understand and hopefully you'll be here for me when I make my return. If not, I understand. Lots of love, Alyssa xox

Never a Mistake (NAM)
Jessica Portman is the perfect daughter - beautiful, intelligent and hardworking. To outsiders, she seems to have the perfect life.
But behind closed doors, Jess' life is ruled by her controlling, religious mother. She had already exiled Jess' sister, Mikayla, and Jess works hard to fit the exact ideal her mother dreams of.
Except one day, when Jess discovers she is pregnant. Her boyfriend, Kyle, is seven years older than her. He's a trust-fund son, estranged from his father.
Jess is thrown out of her home, and her life falls apart. She must learn to grow up fast to take care of her baby, relationship and future.
But when your future was all planned out for you, will your decisions be just as good...?
The Things You Don't Know About Me (TTYDKAM)
One night, one mistake, one moment, can change a person forever.
Everyday, Emmy Colter questions her decision on that night at the beginning of the summer after her sophomore year. Would she have gone home with the dark, sexy stranger because Jude begged her to, the one fatal mistake? But she knows she can't do anything about that decision now. She moves to Pennsylvania with her father, the ghost of the girl that she used to be.
But once she's in Salem, everything starts kicking off. A string of guys, all desperate to get inside her heart and stay there: Fraser; the goofy, lovable skater with a witty humour and an undeniable respect for Emmy; Kaden; the brooding musician with a shaky past that he doesn't want to let on about; Connor; the jock, the star player on the varisty lacrosse team that her father coaches; or Ethan; the motorbike-riding rebel from the rough part of town, never without a pack of cigarettes and a Swiss army knife.
She is flung into the spotlight, a place that she doesn't want to be. With romantic advances from all directions, will Emmy be able to reveal the secrets of her past or even begin to predict her uncertain future, and learn to trust again...?
Peace out, amigos.
