One of my dearest friends in the whole wide world...
A Novel by Alyssameep

Hi. My name is Ella Louise Frank. My grandmother was...
That's it. I'm officially quitting Booksie.
Why, you ask? Why would you do such a thing? Why do you keep saying that? As always, do you not mean it? Will you be coming back?
Nope. I'm really and truly done.
When I first joined this website in Januray 2009, it was different. People were nicer, most writing was accepted. Now, it's romance or nothing. And frankly, I'm sick of it.
Who wouldn't be? I work really hard on my writing, and in return I get zero to little comments, not all of them being very constructive. Scratch that, ALMOST NONE OF THEM being constructive.
And the way people advertise sickens me. You shouldn't have to advertise to get people to read your stuff. They should do it willingly or return the comment if you had commented on their work. None of this 'like omg, check out my story Summer Love it'll mean a lot!!!'
That doesn't fly with me.
So, yeah, I'm done. I'm done with writing on this website. FOR GOOD. And I mean it this time, because now I've realized that I don't want to expose my work like that out on the Internet. I don't want people to steal it. And I especially don't want to have to 'update soon' just because you'll 'die.'
Get over it. I can update whenever the heck I want to.
Except that's not going to happen anymore, is it?
Will I still be around here to read? Maybe. But only the good authors.
Will I still be around here to creep? Quite possibly should I get that bored.
But, before I go, I'd like to take the time to list out a few good authors and nice people that I've met during my time here:
You were always so nice and read my writings diligently. I could never thank you enough for that, and your wonderful comments.
Like swedish fish, you often read my writings. I enjoyed reading yours as well, and I loved talking to you!
Your stories amazed me, and I was pleased that you liked Soup! It made my day when I saw your comment on that, coming from an author like you!
You were a great friend to talk to, and I loved reading your writings (except the horror ones, haha). Although you've been gone from Booksie for a while, your MAKE revelation still stands strong.
Oh, my dear, it was such a joy to get to know you, even outside of Booksie! You are a wonderful writer, and I always had a smile on my face when I saw that you updated.
I seriously love your novel, dearie. And your awesome Tumblr. I loved getting your comments because it always meant constructive criticism! Yay!
I loved talking with you about Naruto and Death Note! And all the other random stuff. Your poems seriously impressed me as well.
Your writing just had me in awe a lot of the time. So very unique, and I love talking with you, my dear!
You read my stuff even when it took me MONTHS to return the favor. That just makes me feel so elated. And by the way: I do quite like your story.
You were always so nice to me, and so dedicated to one of my challenges! Thank you!
Although you have been gone a while, you were always a great author and commenter. You will be sorely missed.
Ah, my email buddy! I know we've lost touch, but your stories always entertained me, and I had fun discussing Fruits Basket, a certain creeper, and all other sorts of things!
One of my best friends in real life! I love you, "Mommy!" Thanks for always reading my stories, on Booksie and not!
Your ninja story was just pure fun. As well as your Naruto obsession! But then you disappeared, sadly...
One of my best friends in real life! All of your writing (and email forwards) are very entertaining, my dear...
Wow. Your writing just had me hooked the moment I started reading it. I'm sorry it took so long to finish Breaking the Storm, and then I never got to finish reading From the Ashes, but I love Last Breath so far. And all of your poems. And just all of your work in general. Completely incredible, and I hope to one day see a published novel from you! And I love the reviews you put your time into for everyone's work!
Formerly joseffthered, you are one of the best people to talk to about ideas or anything. Thank you so much.
One of my best friends in real life! Your stories are AMAZING, my dear, and I LOVE reading them!
Formerly Zoe Band, I always LOVED reading your poems. They were always so relatable and touching. Thank you for reading my stuff as well. Your reviews were always so helpful!
One of my best friends in real life! Your writing is superb and fascinating and just...amazing, dear. Every time I read your writing, it makes me wish harder that you were already a published author!
One of my best friends in real life! I miss you, and I want to let you know that your writing is FANTASTIC, and you've moved me to tears before!
Your poems are so out of this world. I hope you continue to blow this world away with your writing.
Savvy, thank you for your kind comments and it's been so much fun talking with you! Your poems rock my socks off!
Dude, I loved your writing. Like, a lot. It made me rethink some of my own, and it was a pleasure exchanging writing advice with you!
...that's it. That's everyone I wanted to say one last thing to here on Booksie. I really, really used to like this site. Be obsessed with it, even, but fads have their time and place. And Booksie is now gone for me.
If you want to keep in touch, email me at fruits_basket_fan@cheerful.com or follow me at Tumblr. I'm also on FanFiction. Sorry for this long good-bye. I will be leaving all my current work on here, just so you can read it: Love Isn't a Piece of Cake. It's More Like Mushroom Soup., my "hit"; My BFF's Poem, written by one of my best friends Maddieladdie; and "Everybody's Fool" which is a poem I wrote for Ant's challenge and received third place with.
Adios! Ciao! Hasta la vista, baby!
