I'm delighted to announce that my wife gave birth to our third son last Wednesday. Baby Ross - 7lbs 4ozs. Sleepless nights for a while, I reckon.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to say that I usually make it a rule to check out the work of authors who have left comments on my site or on individual poems. Recently, since Solomon Foy was put on the Booksie homepage, I have had more comments than I'm able to keep up with. But rest assured that I plan to read as many works as I can, once I get the time. Thanks to everyone who has left comments to date. All appreciated.

I got my SPLAT books from Blurb the other day. They look pretty good, for an amateur. Funnily enough, the cheaper books came out better than the expensive hardback. Anyway, I am quite happy with them, which is the main thing!

I may not have mentioned this before, but I created the SPLAT book on two separate sites. One was Blurb (which I have links to on my Prifule page) and the other was My Publisher. Well, the My Publisher ones arrived yesterday and I was pleasently surprised at the quality. The images came out well. The Splats were a tiny bit grainy because they were smaller images originally that I had to increse in size. But overall, I think they came out very well. I expect the Blurb ones to be even better, as I think I should have been able to improve the image quality a little. So I'm glad that they lived up to my expectations, and I'm happy that if anyone actually bought a copy of the book off Blurb that I could stand over the quality.

I have published my second book of poems called "Solomon Foy (and other stories)". Now it's time to apply the emotional blackmail to my family to buy some copies!

I'm in the process of creating another book for self-publication. At the moment, the list of poems I will include are (in no particular order): Solomon Foy, Freddie and the Teddy, A Conversation with my Son, My Two Year Old Baby, I Hear My Sons, The Witch and the Wizard, batman's baby, Ugli Fruit, The Night Bottle, The Hopalong Kid, and Slow Down Mister Clown. Assuming that SPLAT!! turns out OK, I will publish this new book and see if anyone buys it. I assume I could at least talk my family into getting a copy or two. I'll keep you posted.

I published my first book, based on 5 of my poems: The Gnat, The Yak, The Lamb, The Fish, and the Thrush. Hopefully someone, somewhere, will buy a copy! :-)

I'm off on vacation next week with the family, so I won't be posting for a while. Hopefully I'll get some inspiration while I'm away and have lots of stuff to publish when I get back. Take care.
