Hi everyone, we are aware that the Read counts are not displaying on the site. We will have this fixed shortly. In the meantime, read data is still being collected even if it is not displayed on the site. Thanks for your patience.

Hi all. A small bug was introduced into the site today which caused some formatting problems with longer length posts. This has been fixed and all work has returned to its normal state. There is nothing you need to do to fix the work as it has automatically fixed itself.
Sorry about that.

One item I neglected to add through all of this:
To access BooksieSilk, go to www.booksiesilk.com. If your writing has been moved there, you can access it by logging in with your Booksie login information. Everything else should be the same as Booksie.

Most of the problems around work not appearing should have been resolved. If you are still experiencing problems, let us know. We are continuing to tune and refine the system and more bug fixes will be coming. Thanks everyone for all of the feedback!

If your work is not appearing, do not worry. It has not been deleted and is still on the site. There is a problem with the link to it. We know the problem and will have it fixed shortly.
Hi everyone. We realize there are some bugs associated with the new release yesterday. We are working through them. I want to assure everyone that Reads, Likes, and Comments were not lost. We have them all but they may not have all appeared. We've been working over the last day to make sure they are correct. If you have a problem with Comments or Likes, please tell us the name of the work and the chapter number, if it has one, so that we can better troubleshoot. The more specifics the better.
It's possible that Read numbers may be a bit different. The new system is more precise in counting actual Reads (and filtering out bots, and other non-readers). There might be a 10% deviation from what you saw before. If the count is off by more than that, let us know.
Thanks for your patience and assistance.

Well, after many months of fixing bugs, discovering new ones, and fixing those, we're pleased to launch a major upgrade to Booksie. The upgrade includes
Thanks for your patience and we hope you enjoy the new features.

We've received your message about SPAM and have put a fix in place which we hope will block it. If not, we will take more drastic measures. One way or the other, we will vanquish spam from the site. Sorry for the inconvenience. Spammers are constantly trying to access the site and sometimes they find a way in.
On another note, we are planning to launch BooksieSilk either tonight or tomorrow. After a long wait, we are almost there. The release will have an added benefit, it will have a bunch of anti-spam features.

An update for everyone. The last two weeks have been crazy. Booksie was hit by a virus from our ad serving company, OpenX. We pulled all ads from the site and then were told the company was shutting down its service because it has been compromised by hackers. Booksie is totally clean and we have replaced OpenX with a more robust ad service. Problem solved.
We are also working to finish the next round of upgrades to Booksie. The round includes the spin-off of the BooksieSilk site, new tracking and sorting features, anti-spam features, and a more robust back-end to handle the increased traffic. The launch of these features has taken longer than we expected and we apologize for the delay. We had hoped to launch around January 1 and it is now two months later. But we are almost there and I think everyone will appreciate the updates when they come.
Thanks for your patience and for making Booksie a great place to post and discover great stories, poems, novels, and more.

We've noticed some problems leaving comments on novels, stories, poetry, etc. We're looking into the problem and will have it resolved shortly. Sorry for any inconvenience.

We're testing the editor to make sure the font formatting features work. Work on BooksieSilk continues. Sorry for the delay. We hope to launch on or around January 2. Stay tuned...

Booksie will shortly be spinning off a new site for adults called BooksieSilk. All of the adult content on Booksie will be moved to this new site.

There is a problem with the fan system which may cause some of the writers you are fans of to disappear. We are working on resolving the issue. Thanks.

We've done a bunch of work on Booksie over the last couple of months. Some of it is visible and some isn't. We changed the registration process to cut down on spammers. We also updated some of the sites infrastructure to help it run faster. Lastly, we've been working on the image system to make it easier to change images uploaded in your profile and with your content.
I'm here to answer your questions and make your Booksie experience a pleasant one. You may unbuckle your seatbelts and feel free to move about the cabin.
If you have technical problems or problems with the site, please email me at contact (at) booksie.com. You can leave a comment below but email is better.
