Good morning/afternoon/evening wherever you are!

In recent times the Booksie community has had a population boom! Many of the more experienced members and very grateful new writers here have created this page as a monument to those new on the site. What other sites fail to have is a small community where you feel comfortable. Here you are not as small as you are in the real world. Here you can become great in the limited community. The smaller population here has enabled bonds to be formed between writers. Many have discovered friends that are not restricted to Booksie alone. This is a place of acceptance, where each writer tries to find his/her ink colour. Some have already found theirs. Others are still searching. But whatever the current situation we welcome new writers, no matter what your age!

Many here think of Booksie, not as a site, but as a community. Like any normal neighborhood in any country, only, real life distance is no longer an issue. Write more! Read more! There is always encouragement and acceptance to be found within this small community. Make new friends! Have FUN with your writing! It doesn’t always have to be about serious issues.

No matter what you think your abilities are in the writing department, here people will encourage and offer help. Do not be intimidated by large fan numbers on a writer’s page. We do what we can and when we are honest and are ourselves our fan base grows. Write for you, not to meet the featured writing qualifications. What you write, no matter how insignificant it may seem to you, may touch another person.

Be creative and have a wonderful time associating with the other writers who are here for the same reasons as you!

If you feel no one likes your work don’t ever give up! You will improve in your writing whether you notice it or not, and receiving a comment will become inevitable!

Stay true to your work, because it is an expression of you! And you will soon find that whoever you are, someone will enjoy your work.

This has become more than a site to share our ideas and thoughts. As time goes by you will eventually realize that this is not a site, but a home.
