Brenda Borg writes short stories about drink, motherhood, god, being forced out of Ireland and having (fictional) sex with real celebrities, hence the quotes above.

Brenda grew up on troubled Irish borderlands until, aged 16, she and her family had to get out of the country overnight. She lived and worked in England and America before falling in love, moving to Sweden, getting sober and getting married.

In 2011, in an improved political climate, Brenda returned to her native Northern Ireland with her husband and baby son. She has replaced a ferocious alcohol addiction with a writing addiction.
