Hi!
I'm 16, I live in Virginia but i'm from England. You wouldn't believe how many times i hear "y'all" in a day at high school, it makes my accent stand out even more. I'm tired of all the British sterotypes that people first say when they meet me,(they think they're being clever, i beg to differ). So to answer your questions, no i haven't met the queen, no i don't drink tea and eat crumpets, i don't have wooden teeth, yes we do drive on the "wrong" side of the road, yes we do have mcdonalds, but no walmarts (how do we survive?) and no we don't go around saying "good day! nigel, what an absolutely spiffing day we're having" "quite yes, absolutely splendid, pip, pip, cheerio!".
I absolutely love to write it's one of my passions, and i hope to pursue it as a career one day. If not then i would like to do something with literature or writing, maybe an editor or journalist. I've always sort of known that i've had a knack for writing, i just never seriously considered it as a profession. I love booksie, it's one of the best writing communities that's floating around on the internet. I actually recieve feedback on my writing which helps me a lot.
I appreciate any comments good or bad!
