Poetry to me offers a connection between the concrete and the abstract. Through its selection of mood, attitude and words, it binds me emotionally and spiritually to other people and their sensitivities. Strong feelings and reactions to situations are universal. I can only hope that sharing my take on life through poetry will allow me to be one link in the chain of life supporting and joining one person to another.
Helping students create and enjoy poetry along with creating poetry videos with her students and helping to organize the School District of Philadelphia's National Poetry Celebrations were important parts of her teaching career. Her poetry in combination with an award winning phototgrapher's pictures were displayed at the Balimore Gallery in Maryland. Her poems were also displayed in the Logan Square East Complex lobby in downtown Philadelphia.
You must surely be hanging yourself by now. Before my ouvre was a mystery....now it has become just so many words to you I am sure.While I am looking through my poems I find myself editing,fixing,putting papers in piles marked unfinished,throw out,reread, needs MUCH work,awful,how could I, etc. (author's comments)
