I would appreicate feedback on the prologue to my novel,...
Thank you for taking the time to view my page.
Regarding my work on poetry, I try to create pieces that can be interpreted by individuals in their own way. I tend to create a story of scene and a reader can impose their life into it - this is designed to add power to the piece and a sense of belonging in the reader.
Whilst I may write romantic poetry a fair amount, I avoid the concept of love as a phrase, but rather enshrine it in a scenario or story, written in third or first person. Other pieces are of an observational nature, designed to make you think about both concepts and the world itself around you.
My work tends to operate in free verse, but with a heavy concentration on creating its own tempo and rhythm as you read. You may also note that in most works the number of syllables per line is important, whether it be an ascending or descending quantity or indeed a constant.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy, and look forward to receiving critiques - how else can I improve. If not with critiques.
I have little prose available for review at present - whilst I enjoy writing the sheer lack of free time makes larger projects unrealistic in general, though Calming the Crimson Storm is one I intend to continue to write.
Review Policy
I tend to spend time seeking out poetry and providing my thoughts. However, if anyone would like me to read their work I am happy to do so provided that they review my work at the time of making the request. If you would like my time, I would appreciate a little bit of yours :-).
Please note that if you wish me to review your work, you are asking my to provide constructive criticism. So if you don't want to hear negatives as well as positives, I'm not the best person to approach.
And Finally
I am the founder of a company called Weaver Entertainment, a trading name of The Weaver Project Ltd . The company has many goals, one of the ultimate ones being in the realm of publishing. However, as a new company we are focusing on board games at present. Our first product, Empires Collide, is due to hit the market in Summer 2013. Please feel free to check out the development blog at www.Empires-Collide.com, or our facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/weaverproject. We will be commencing our fundraising campaign through Kickstarter in late July - an exciting time indeed!
Anyway, if you like my works, feel free to check out what I get up to off the page.
