Farewell

Like a bird learning to fly
I sit still in my nest and wait in patients
For my wings to become intact 
So that I may be free to soar and glide

I wait patiently till I am brave enough
To be able to face this world alone,
Like a bird set free from a cage.
Yet I wait, slowly and serenely

The world may seem vast 
But My wings feel complete
A new beginning is ahead of me 
Courage is by my very side.
I am free to choose who I really want to be.
