Attention, please :
I've been off of Booksie for a little while now, and will not be able to spend as much time as I'd like to on here. I'm sorry for those who are sharing your stories with me and having to be patient. I can only read so many! I'm spending all my computer time I have reading on Booksie and updating my own story. Patience, please!
My name is Deanna. I'm a 17 year old living in Maine.
Maine? That little state up north. The one where we all live in log cabins and ride moose to school?
Please read first :
[ If you're going to ask me to read something, I do not mind and will be more than happy to read it. The only issue is I'm not a big fan of love stories. I'm sorry, but it's pretty difficult for me to stay interested in a typical love story where the girl and boy lock eyes and fall in love. If there's a twist to it/something that makes it more than a simple love story I will give it a shot. ^^ Not trying to sound mean! I just don't want to waste your time. >.< ]
Current Writing [Links provided, just click the title!] :
The Echoes in the Mind of the Bullied - A story that took me about an hour to write. It was just a quick story, but it did reflect on three of the bullying occurrences I remember the most when I think of middle school and early high school. In the end was a decision I almost made. In my eyes I call it non-fiction, beside the splash of fiction in the end.
Mommy Never Pat My Head - This is my first poem I ever wrote actually. It was a quick, inexperienced poem. The characters are based off a series called Umineko no naku koro ni. It's about the relationship between a frustrated mother and her desperate daughter.
Milk and Honey - Adriana, a 16 year old bully victim entrusts her trust and friendship into a handsome young adult who is known for his looks and way with children. Despite such a positive rep, he leads a secret life. His want and obsession with this young girl is too much.
He rapes and murders her. He's so fixated on her, he wants to keep her with him no matter what form. Adriana, still attached to earth tries to seek revenge, before he harms another innocent child.
My first story I ever wrote was when I was 10-years-old. It was over 200 pages long and took me a year to write. Then one unfortunate day our computer had finally died due to viruses. I'm not saying it was a prodigy-like story, but it was very dear to me. I used to share parts of it to my mom, who would praise me for my work, which got me to beam and continue writing.
My dream is to go to Japan. I hope to go one day and stay for a decade or two if I truly enjoy it. [ If anyone knows any Japanese, even a smidge : let's talk. :D ] I want to show others what I see through my eyes. I feel as though your eyes tell a story everyday. What you see, what your surroundings are, and the colors most take advantage of everyday.
I'm a horror freak. I love that little heart attack you get from suspense. I like to keep to myself most of the time. My anxiety keeps me back a lot, so I do have time to write/ do other alone things. I'm a gamer-nerd and proud of it.
I'm actually not a big fan of reading. In the past two years I've probably only read five novels and only one was out of interest. I hope to change that, though. Any good psychological/horror books, anyone?
I hope that every short story/novel I write and post hits at least one persons heart in a way that can either bring tears, or a smile. Thank you for reading.
I'll gladly accept as much criticism as I can get.
