My Name is Dustin Micheal McKinzie is was born August 6, 1991 in Davenport, Iowa . I have a little brother named tyler he is a big part of my life even though at times it doesnt look like it. I live with my mom, when i was 6 my dad  got locked up, just recently we began talking again it was hard to talk to him again at first i had lots of anger. Its ok now i guess i still have a hard time taking it in.

In my life ive had my share of hardships my freshman year of high school my mom got cervical cancer it hit me hard so i turned to writing. Two years ago i lost my cousin to cancer That hit me really hard i stopped writing stopped going to church started slipping in school. Then I got bettter started doing good in school and rewrote my first poem " If Life Were A Dream" and thats when i came back then this year i lost my best friend Joel Mcfadden this hit me hard but inspires me to write about not only the good but reality im not as optimistic as i was before.

How to explain my writing i think its real and just very straight fwd. people dont like me bercause of it wich inspires my next great poem i think "speak my fear" wich talks about not saying what people want to hear but what you want to say. I believe the ones mind is gold and they should treasure it my mind is my gold poetry is my treasure chest.
