Just to remind all those Missing In Action fathers what...
I have survived growing up in South Africa, car accidents, an Alcoholic mother, a disappearing father, tomatoes, depression, evil friends, an abusive boyfriend, malaria, operations, high school, being held at gunpoint, my appendix being removed, falling from a gymnastics bar, driving in the car with my Grandfather, drinking too much and knowning myself.
What does that say about me? I'm a survivor? No, I'm not. I am me.
I have a girly heart yet it is hard enough to protect myself from heartache. I am petite in build but strong enough to voice my opinions. I have an open mind but I'm intelligent enough to see right from wrong.
I am a soft soul, a broken heart, a tough cookie, a poet, a wounded puppy, a child of Christ, a woman, a princess, a winner, an underdog.
