Profile

It would seem that I should at least give a brief introduction of myself to those who stumble by my profile page, as well as it would help to alleviate the distance that irrevocably separates my internet readers and myself.

My pen name is Hachiko, a famous name of a tragically beautiful story- Not my real name obviously... It would be very odd to be called that in real life especially since I'm not Japanese.

I am, oddly, a science student who aspires to be a doctor but dreams of more creative aspirations.

English is not my Mother Tongue but is my first language.

I love thoughtful writings, humour, rhymes, the use of phonics and imagery. READING REQUESTS ARE OPEN TO THOSE WHO BEAR THESE MARKS! But seriously, do provide feedback to my writings too. You scratch my back, I will scratch yours... Vigorously. LOL

Booksie History

I wrote my first ever "published" poem, The Smart Ones. on the 26th April 2011, during the midst of examinations when I was at that time so sick of the absoluteness of written words that I have been forced to swallow whole and regurgitate on command. "Some times we get stuck in the middle, lost in this impossible riddle..."

Moved on. was another short piece I wrote out of chance when the rhyme hit me on the way home. I really liked this piece, because it was so simple but so catchy.   "These eyes, never lie..."

My writing is random and changes with every piece. I have no background or training in poetry, but I do listen to alot of music (that helps i guess?) If you check out my poems, you would notice i like to rhyme. Why did it have to end this way? marked a new chapter of my works, where I dealt with more serious topics. "When you lose that one meaningful thing in your life, everything else feels trifle and rife..."

At that time, it was my most viewed poem.  http://www.booksie.com/poetry/poetry/hachiko/why-did-it-have-to-end-this-way

You're my Dad and I'm your son is one I cannot replicate so easily, written after a fight with my Dad. Even now, I have trouble clicking on the link to read it again.

DeathBed talks about the final encounter with Death."Tear drops fell upon him, it was a strangely quiet din, as the angel of Death crept in..."

My last poem before my 2 years hiatus, Have i disappointed thy?, is dedicated to writers and the deadly illness of mental block. "Hovering and wavering, i dithered and paused. In my task to express I felt lost..."

Ironically, I would not write for another 2 years.

Present

Time is now no longer so scarce. The long break served my writing hand well- My latest and perhaps most accomplished piece is A Day Will Come. Do comment!

Your Comments and Feedbacks will determine the quality of my next piece!

She stares blankly at the passing train, maintaining this poker face, so no one will know that she had actually just missed the train because of the fact that she zoned out and is silently face palming herself. Whut

I'm kidding, i love this girl C:

As for writers recommendations, I have yet to compile a list. Before I was a writer I was a reader, as we all once were. I do love a good read!
