I just finished my first story for this site and a challenge I had entered and although the plot is ok I'm not happy with how it turned out it was too crammed into a small space so I think I will be re-editing it at some point after the contest and turning it into a novel.

Well this is the beginning of my time with Booksie and hopefully one that will last and bring with it new found friendships. I've heard a lot of things about Booksie and thought I'd come and check it out for myself. I look forward to getting to know some of you and your work. Holly Jaye

Hey there and thanks for stopping by my page and taking time out to read my work. I'm Holly Jaye an aspiring writer with a passion for reading and listening to music. The music I listen to greatly influences my writing as I'm sure it does with many of you. My reasons for coming to Booksie vary, one it's to hone my skills and let my imagination wander and two it's to pay something back to the writing community by reading other authors work and if asked for it giving my opinion.

Stories I have thoroughly enjoyed have been To Kill A Mocking Bird, Lord Of The Rings, Romeo And Juliet, The Taming Of The Shrew, Wuthering Heights and a lot of the greek legends and myths.

My taste in music varies widely from the celtic (Lord Of The Rings inspired) music by Enya to bands such as Muse, Breaking Benjamin and 12 Stones. Music is a powerful tool as is writing and I just can't seem to get enough of either of them.

I don't really want to harp on an on about myself so I'll let my writing do the talking from here, thanks so much for reading this (and even if you didn't thanks anyway for stopping by) and I look forward to hearing your lovely comments.
