Hi! My name is Nicolle and I guess this is my page!
I work as a show groom for a show horse producer and I love it! Ideally I would like to go to Newmarket and work with racehorses for a bit, but I want to broaden my knowlege of the showing world first. I have always been a very horsey girl, I have been riding for 14 years and when I was 9 for Christmas my mum and dad brought me my loan pony, Buzz a 11.3hh bay Dartmoor gelding. He taught me everything I know (like how to stay on a bucking pony :P ) and he has a home for life with me. 4 years later, once I had had my growth spurt, I realised that after winning a few local classes at shows on Buzz, I needed a bigger challenge. I was older now and taller, and had helped a few people back their horses to ride, mainly becaise I was fearless in the saddle haha! So I decided to buy a bigger pony, one that was young and could grow with me, so me and mum brought a 2 year old black Cob who stands at around 13/14hh who was unbroken. Until Casper was 3 I spent a lot of time gaining his trust as he was very nervouse around people and took my time backing him. After 6 months he was succesfully backed and I had achieved this with no help. By the age of 14 I had backed my first pony on my own succesfully and he now does well at shows and is a very loving little pony.
My love for writing has always been obvious, throughout school I would go into so much detail on english writing exams that I would run out of time before I could finish! I began writing short stories when I was about 13 and was inspired by the Heartland books by Lauren Brooke and the Sheltie the Shetland Pony books. Now, at 19 I have decided to write a proper book and share it on here in the hope that others enjoy reading my work as much as I enjoy writing it.
