Still lurking here - as AnnaT would say. A creature of habit I guess but I still spread my works around. Booksie doesn't seem to have improved much - I still receive alerts with nothing in the subject line!

I have moved to poetfreak.com a sad day for me as I truly love Booksie and it's community but I am sick and tired of having my works screwed up and mangled.

Jerry has been gracious enough to allow me to write a review on his book of collected poems and I have put this on my web site. Booksie now seems to be suffering from terminal problems, going from bad to very bad, nothing works properly anymore! I think I may be about to retire to my own website but it does seem a pity and rather snail-like.

I have bought and read Ricky Englands book of poetry entitled 'Paper Darts' and I recomend it to all aspiring writers. Ricky's style is lighthearted and relaxed and his work easy to digest. I bought mine from Amazon. It's also useful if you are thinking of following the same path to publication you can see first hand just what you are buying into.

Booksie seems to get harder to work with, like a lumbering giant that needs to wake up and shed some weight! I get the odd complaint that I don't comment on every poem or story that I visit! If I can find nothing constructive to say - I keep quiet. It's not my job to tear some ones hard work to bits just because it doesn't appeal to me.I look at the comments others leave all flowery and glowing and I wonder what the hell it is that they've been reading! Certainly not the same thing I have. If the work has merit and if I have enjoyed it then I will comment - if not then I will not.

Well that's summer over with - all two weeks of it in june. Fianally got one of my songs up, working on the rest - and of course the plays!

Fixed a friends computer - one of my other 'talents' and garden now settled - still dodging writing the play out. Rain and clouds and wind - so much for summer!

Spent much time gardening and getting greenhouse sorted and decoratiing so play still no further on. Wish I could discover some way to make money from home - thought about teaching on line. Will see. 26 degrees last week, brown as a berry now.
