Janey is a retired school teacher, who lives on 22 acres of land in the peaceful Fleurieu Peninsula where she has plenty of time to tend her garden, watch the kangaroos and galahs and dream up stories.

When Janey is not writing she is either gardening, sewing or caring for her grandchildren. Her stories are often fairy tales for her granddaughters but sometimes she likes to write romantic, racey fiction.

In all her writings she tries to make strong female characters who are clever and ingenious and often break stereotypes. Caring for the environment is also emphasized throughout her writings.
