A Novel by Jobie
Posted: Jan 13, 2008
This was my first attempt at writing a complete novel....
I was born and raised in the foothills of Appalachia. I grew up in a small coal and timber town called Gilbert in southern West Virginia, where my dad was a mine engineer. I have always loved science and technology, and it follows logically then that I should love science fiction also. I taught myself how to create software for computers using a variety of languages that were available at the time. Ultimately, I would leave Gilbert for Austin, Texas and take up a career as a video game developer for one of the top game companies in the world.
In 2003, I started my own software company, Nagle Research, Inc., developing software for high-speed 3D inspection systems.
In addition to writing, I am also an airplane and helicopter pilot, avid motorcyclist, amateur filmmaker, goofy drummer, and photographer.
