Hello there. It has been a very while since I have written anything here. But I have just revised the opening chapter (first page),synopsis or whatever you want to call it of my story A Vampire In Bangor? I don't know how much of a thriller it will be since everybody already knows so much about vampires from movies and tv shows, especially the 1960s cult tv series Dark Shadows and the Johnny Depp movie remake of it recently This story will have some allusions to that show just as a tribute to it.I would like to dedicate this story to actress Kathryn Leigh Scott who has become a friend of mine through Facebook and was a member of the cast of the series as well as Kathleen Cody another cast member who I also met through Facebook. Facebook has made the world a neighborhood.I am retired, because of a disability, and a Christians Baptist minister but I love all of the Christian churches and I am emdevoring to love everyone in this world too just as the Bible says that Jesus did. It is not easy to love everyone but I am not supposed to hate anyone.
Now, some of you may be asking what does all of this religion talk have to do about a vampire story? To begin with, vampires were a Christian idea! For example, look at a couple of the methods used to take care of them:
One is by using a Christian cross to ward them off and another is an idea mainly used by Roman Catholics and a few Protestants: using Holy Water. But I don't know. Even though I am a Baptist if I thought a real vampire was in town I might want to carry a cross and some holy water around too.
So I am not wanting anyone who is not a Christian to feel left out while reading this story. Other ways of taking care of vampires include staking them and catching them out in sunlight and holding them there. So this story is for everyone. I am writing it a little at a time so hopefully the installments will be on a regular basis. Have fun.
