The Midnight Maiden is a murderer.
I'm Jolene, I love fantasy and science-fiction, books, movies and music.
I write and read, my favourite writers include Robin Hobb, Simon Winchester, David + Leigh Eddings, Steven Erikson and Weis + Hickman, Terry Goodkind.

Anything else to know about me... I was born in 1993, I love symphonic metal and pagan music. Religion? I have my own beliefs, mostly about metaphysical being, respecting nature and karma... I have a lot of hope, and determination. I'm very academic, and hope to pursue a career in Earth Sciences.In September 2012 I start my Masters Degree in Geology, this is very exciting!
I write because I enjoy it, because it's a form of escapism, because it's a good way of expressing some thoughts and one of the things I connect best to in stories is the characters, so I hope mine are every bit as interesting and engaging, they are after all the ones that move the plot forwards. My characters are probably the things that will stick with you after reading anything I've written.
I've also done some collaborative work with my partner, if you're going to read anything here please read and give us your thoughts on that.
