The Doc said a 47xxx isn’t a type of Cowboy Hat (Darn!)
I'm Lady Jewells. Lady Jewells is not my real name, it is my writing character's name and thus, my pen name. For now, I wish to remain nameless. I am a wise woman and shun fan fare. I am life's caretaker and a soulful nurisher. I walk a positive path through life. One filled with wonder and laughter, and as much unconditional love as I can muster.
To me, All the world is my stage, as I walk my path through life, I play many roles. I'm Life's Actress, part director, and reporter. I'm a poet and philosopher. I walk with purpose and try not to make judgements. My goal is to try to experience all matters of experiences and do my utter best to report back to you some of my experiences. I write poetry, and realistic fiction (like fishermen and most story tellers, I love to embellish my stories). Even in real life, I'm positive - but quite candid in my speech, with my ideas, my thoughts, and feelings. Please therefore, consider me and my writings a gift of opportunity and perspective.
When I retire or my parents pass, I'll probably change my birth name to Lady Jewells - like many actresses do. Just so I can come out on stage and take a bow and/or sign autographs. Maybe - just because LJ fits me to a T. I am a Lady and I am a Jewel. But I'm not just 1 jewel. Like most women, I'm multifaceted. So I think the name, "Lady Jewells" is a good fit.
One of my God given gifts is my talent for writing. I chose to start my writing career among bikers in 1996, my 2nd Husband and I would attend motorcycle events all over Arizona & California. I'm a free spirit and so are most bikers. Most bikers are former soldiers. Whenever bikers do charity runs, I try to give them the media support they need to continue to do that charity work. Google me Lady Jewells and find my "Stories on the Web" website and the reprints or visit www.azridersouthwest.com and check the archives.
In June of 2009, I suffered an Ischemic stroke (see "Lady Jewells has a Stroke"). My Stroke was a blessing in disguise and my recovery has been the grandest adventure of them all, so far. AND Because My friends worried there'd be another stroke; (& it happens, this was actually my 2nd stroke), but I digress. Anyhow my friends insisted I start sharing more of me with the rest of the world. Soooo In late 2012, as a part of my stroke recovery and at the behest of my friends, I started releasing my other life stories.
Publishing on Booksie and Booksie Silk are perfect for me. What role I'm playing depends on where I am and who I'm with. "Booksie" is for my G" rated stories. In these stories posted in Booksie, I recognize my role in life as a role model. Thus I dress modestly, employ good manners, I walk with purpose and I talk with conviction. I understand protocol and I walk it 24/7. Thus, I am a Great America Citizen anywhere I go.
Booksie Silk > Takes a look at relationships. In real life, My love life was hampered by some bad experiences, self-imposed sexual restrictions, and limited by some extreme allergies. And after my stroke in 2009, I was semi-paralyzed on 50% of my body. Hugs are wonderful, but I wanted to love and feel loved. But my self image had taken a hit. I was older, heavier, had wrinkles, and I didn't want to be seen as crippled or different, I was afraid to let people see me in my weakened state. I felt that couldn't do a lot of the loving, which I so badly needed to feel. But with the help of Booksie Silk I could and I did.
Behind closed doors and on paper > I let my imagination go and I taught myself to express the love I wanted to feel. I taught myself how to deal with the side-effects of my stroke. I taught myself - to love me. By writing - I kept myself safe. All I worried about was paper cuts and with techmology - even those didn't matter anymore. I wrote & I read and explored human sexuality. When and if I was given another opportunity to love a new man ...I was determined to become the best Mrs., I could be.
Please enjoy my treasured writings.
