Thank You !!!!
Thanks fellow authors for the attention you spared for Stellar Epiphany. I've absorbed your comments and processed them the best I can. The final rewrite is in process for submission to Fantasy and Sci-Fi Magizine. I've withdrawn the piece from booksie in anticipation of the attempt. I'll keep you all updated in my news section.
If this is your first stop to my page:
See the list below for an easy guide to what might interest you. Steve the Barbarian is a niche story that only really makes sense if you know the people the story is based on. Avenger, is a full length novel that needs work and would be a major investment to read. I'm probably over doing it with the ratings. I suppose I'm more tame than I think, but I'm old and grew up in a house hold where a harsh Darn It could get you in trouble.
Paden's Story Book One (complete) [ It's a little rough early on, put becomes more readable very quickly]
Paden's Story Book Two (In progress)
Steve the Barbarian (complete)
StB - The Bay of Fire
Tales of a Dead Man (complete)
Avenger (first draft form only)
Stellar Epiphany (complete)
The Legend of the Forth Chief (Complete)
* When I say "Complete" I mean the story, not as in ready for the big leagues.
Follow me, Lewis Nicolls, and my writing on Face Book.
I've met a few very interesting people on Booksie already, and would love to keep in touch better than a bunch of 'please read me' requests. Hmm, Ironically I primarily use Facebook to attract readers to my Booksie page anyway. . . .
Props to http://avatars.jurko.net/ I depend on it's members for my pics.
My Read and Review Policy
Comment me, I comment you!
I enjoy reading (duh), so I don't mind reviewing other member posts. However, I have a very limited time to do so. All the usual ways will help make you a priority for my time. If you've posted comments on my own stories I will almost definately read your work. If you are in the fantasy / sci-fi genre it will also increase your chances. Don't expect me to read much of your work if you do romance. I respect your talent, it's just not my thing. If you write hack / slash sword play or shoot 'em science fiction I'm much more likely to become a truely dedicated fan.
1. Continue to work on book two of Paden's Story. (really someday soon I will.)
2. Start forulating the next great Pelicar short story.
3. Develop a sci-fi short story set in the Avenger fantasy world. (so close to done)
4. Clean up Avenger itself so that everyone can get some real enjoyment out of it.
Who am I? I'm not the kind of author that will make you check under your bed before you go to sleep, nor am I they guy who will paint such an elaborate picture of every scene to make you feel you are there. Maybe someday I'll be the guy to make you fall in love with a character or at least feel bad when he dies. What I am right now is a man who can concieve and document a rich and original fantasy world. I hope you enter my worlds and fall in love with them the way I have. There is much to see, but we're all young and have nothing but time.
I'm fascinated by the glory of fantasy and science fiction. The concept is intriguing to me and I've asked myself so many times what is epic, heroic, immortal, timeless, etc. It may be something as efemeral as it is eternal, but i know one thing. I have but one talent, so thank you Booksie and the internet in general for giving me my own chance at glory. I'm not worthy now but over the decades, two or three posts a week will add up. Cetainly those who dream small will not achieve the great things for which we strive.
Beyond philosophy, I'm just a forty year old fat man who works forty hours a week and tries to keep a wife happy. Sometimes I do a good job and sometimes I don't. I'm a graduate of Oklahoma State, and I'm a loyal Cowboy. The star wars sage taught me what a book series and fantasy universe can be, and Tolkien never fails to inspire. I hope you enjoy my work.
