My profile has gotten a little out-of-date, so I decided to change things up a little!
Here we go! I am more into music than most people can understand, also for that matter because I am a musician myself. If you ask me what music I like my response will consist of bands not too many modern kids listen to anymore.
I am a devoted Christian, and I've been accepted to two or three Bible colleges already. I'm planning on attending Spring Arbor University and majoring in British Literature, and becoming an author along the way. I would like to teach too, possibly. I can understand old English better than some of my teachers, probably, and I seem to be the most literate in my grade. I was inspired to become an author when I began reading Hemingway.
For another note, sports fail me, and competition acts dull in my mind. I will get active at times, but for the joy of the fun. Except I love frisbee.
All I can ever see myself becoming as I grow older is an author (novels, poetry, short stories, you name it), a musician, a pastor, possibly a veterinarian, or maybe a librarian.
Here are some fun facts about me:
Weight: 120-125 lbs
Hair colour: Dirty blonde?
Eye colour: Light grey/grey-blue
Favourite colour: All of them!
Favourite Season: All of them!
Favourite food: BREAKFAST FOODS! (YUM!)
Top Ten Favourite Movies (In no particular order): Fight Club, V for Vendetta, (500) Days of Summer, Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World, Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller's Day-Off, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, To Save a Life, A Midnight in Paris, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
(There are definitely a lot more I would have as 10 out of 10s on this list though, in my opinion.)
My profile image is me playing two pairs of bongos, equaling four drums (though you cannot see the second pair), the name of which I call, "Quabonga."
I play a myriad of hand percussion, and am trying to learn and sing, and also play guitar. I have a Fender Stratocastor that I am learning how to play and I love it! Oh, and I would be pretty good on keyboards or piano if I practiced. I play a good acoustic guitar too.
If you want to know some of the bands I listen to, here's a list of goodies: Yes, Styx, Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult, Asia, King Crimson, Bill Bruford's Earthworks, Electric Light Orchestra, Crosby Stills & Nash, The Frost, Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse, Switchfoot, Paramore, Tears For Fears, The Fixx, The Cure, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Supertramp, System of a Down, Dream Theater, Arctic Monkeys, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Porcupine Tree, Roxy Music, Santana, Procol Harum, Traffic, INXS, Gordon Lightfoot, Crowded House, The Moody Blues, Rusted Root, The Fray, Jethro Tull, Genesis, Renaissance, Rush, and The Psychedelic Furs.
(This list is VERY out-dated!) I don't want to disappoint people with the bands or genres I can't stand, so I'll leave it at that.
If you've read my work, you know I've a different style...a style I've tempered over reading many, many classical authors. My style is intricate and I try my best using old English styles in words and phrasings. My weird style of writing is a part of me. I'm a very shy, introvert person and quite quiet, though if you got to know me I'll talk a good deal.
Writers I highly recommend reading:
Melinda Sue Henry -Her poetry is some of the best and most all-around simple and heartful writing on Booksie! She's inspired me in quite a few ways!
JoelatRpg -JoelatRpg is one my all-time favourites here on Booksie! If you like incredibly moving and well-written children's stories and very good naturalistic style in poetry, I highly recommend all of his work! He has a brilliant mind and a caring heart!
CRoberts -One of the best and most intricate conceptual writers is CRoberts! If you want a really good opinion on your work, he will give some of the greatest aid and criticism you could ask for! His work is so interesting that it's almost hard to describe! He'll make you think!
Attanasio -There are a lot of writers on here that do a variety of subjects, but Attanasio really has one interesting selection of works to read from. You just have to check him out! His poetry is great!
Valeriya Polomer -Valeriya has some fantastic poetry that I've always found very strong and with good views and topics to it. If you want some good powerful poetry I recommend her!
KW156766- There is one word, only one to describe this aspiring young writer: awesome! I know it's an over-used word, but let me say this: she's an incredibly talented writer for her age and she's got hidden potential. I really respect her writing! Also, I must say that she is quite awesome for reccomending me on her page as well!
L J Jones ... I can't remember what LJ Jones writes, but all I know is that it was really good... I feel bad for not remembering....
Elizabethrose -This gal! She's amazing at what she does! And that is writing some of the best down-to-heart, passionate poetry with some of the most powerful topics, with a powerful voice to back it up! Her writing is very hopeful! She's one of my new favourites on Booksie! Plus, she is very quirky and a nice person to befriend!
Ziddy 6 -For someone as young as Mr. Ziddy 6, he has one of best minds to come up with really good and complicated pieces that make you think! Very talented!
Chanel Hamilton ...If I remember correct Chanel writes really good poetry too... but I can't remember... and now I feel bad about that too....
Evferree - Evferree is much like Elizabethrose, having very powerful concepts and amazing ways to rhyme and flow and make the reader want more! She is also a very talented percussionist! (I credit her for her marching band skills!) She has a lot of perseverence and hope in her writing!
I strongly recommend reading the novel of a Booksie author named Criss Sole. She's a disabled girl who has to stay in bed and is putting her heart into writing her novel, an autobiography, about the mistakes of her life. I hope for her and hope you read her too sometime, because it will warm her heart more than anything if you read her novel, believe me :) She's one of the best writers Booksie has to offer! I'd prefer you read her book over any thing I have, actually!
What else can I say? I love animals.
Thanks a thousand for taking the time to scour through these lines of profile masterpiece, and kudos to all the hard work out there! If you want to toss me a reading request I'll be more than happy to check it out, and I usually get right to it.
