Well I'm Lindsey.
I am a new user to this site. I am wanting to become a writer. I love to write more than anything. To me, writing is my escape from reality. I write about my past, my feelings and thoughts. I also write whatever comes to mind or whatever inspires me. When I'm not writing, I am thinking. I think about everything, (Life, the future, what to write about, what I see and what I feel). Writing is the one thing that truly makes me happy. I have been writing for almost 7 years and just now got the nerve to let people see what I write about. So I hope you enjoy my work!
Facts about Myself:
I love writing more than anything (which you probably already know)
I'm a sensitive, hopeless romantic, independent, passionately curious individual.
Favorite Pet: Cat and Panda
I'm absolutely terrified of thunderstorms but I love rainy days. YES, there is a difference. Haha. I also love snow.
Love Antique shops.
I'm a huge music fan. I love all kinds of music except Rap or Country. My favorite artists:
Washed Out is so good that I literally can't find a word to describe him or to describe how his music makes me feel.
Coldplay
Boards of Canada
Primitive Radio Gods- Brilliant band.
The Smiths
Those are just a few but I have way more.
I love to read. Give me a cup of coffee or tea and a really good book and I'll be happy. I love Romantics (Because I'm a hopeless romantic), thrillers, classics, and disturbing mysteries.
I am a HUGE movie fan. I have a huge movie collection to the point where it's almost pathetic haha. I love scary movies (Halloween-Original, Scream, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, ect.) Romantic films (Pride & Prejudice, Love Actually, Catch and Release, Cousins, ect.) and Old Classics (Casablanca, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Sabrina, Roman Holiday, ect.)
Other favorites- Donnie Darko, V for Vendetta, A Clockwork Orange, All the President's Men, Across the Universe, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, American Beauty and more.
Tim Burton films, yes please. Edward Scissorhands is my favorite even though it makes me cry.
And believe me, I would tell you more BUT I think you get the picture.
My favorite books:
The Great Gatsby- My favorite book. So beautifully written. Very brilliant book. At first, I didn't want to read it but my English teacher convinced me. After I read that book, I felt completely ridiculous for not wanting to read it in the first place. So beautiful yet tragic. Absolutely loved it.
Catcher in the Rye- Disturbing but real. J.D. Salinger wasn't afraid to be honest.
Age of Innocence- Painfully beautiful. Really shows you how life was and how love can be so painful.
Pride and Prejudice- Love the story and I also thought this was beautifully written.
A Clockwork Orange- Slightly disturbing yet fascinating. Loved the story and the detail.
Place where I want to go- London! I have to go there or I'm sure that I will go mad.
I'm a nice person who is just trying to take one day at a time. I live in a place of which I absolutely loathe. If I'm not happy with the world I live in, I create one with my stories. When I write, I try to make my readers feel each and every emotion that my characters feel. I'm not a perfect writer so any good advice is welcome of course.
I mainly write short stories but I am currently working on a novel which I should have the first chapter posted soon.
So now that you know some things about me, feel free to read my work if you want to and if you do, I hope you enjoy it. :)
