Hello all. Welcome to my Booksie.
Very little to tell you about myself really. I am a massive fan of both reading and writing. I can't remember the last time i didn't have a book or two on the go. I'm really only into fantasy novels, although that genre could include almost anything. Basically I'm interested anything with that bit of supernaturally spin to it. Nothing else really grabs my interest. Apart from Bernard Cornwell, who is such a fantastic writer I can't help but enjoy his work.
My favourite book of all time is David Gemmell's Legend. For anybody who is into heroic fantasy novels and hasn't given this a go yet, believe me, it is the pinnacle of the genre. I love everything David Gemmell has written. I'm also a fan of George RR Martin, who's work I read long before HBO jumped on board. The Wheel of Time is, in my eyes, the greatest fantasy epic of all time, by Robert Jordan.
When I joined Booksie, it was to share my work with other people and allow other people to share their work with me. For the short time Ive been on the site I have read some fantastic stories. I'm open to all read requests, as long as you guys take into consideration whether or not I'll enjoy it. It would also be appreciated that you read some of my work beforehand.
I like to keep myself busy. That means lots of writing and lot's of reading. My current undertakings are;
The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Robert Louis Stevenson. Verdict: Classic
A Darkness at Sethanon. Raymond E. Feist. Verdict: Good.
Frankenstein. Mary Shelley. Verdict: Classic
Prince of Thorns. Mark Lawrence. Verdict: Great.
Dark Moon. David Gemmell. Verdict: Brilliant
The Desert Spear. Peter V Brett. Verdict: Brilliant
First Chronicles of Druss the Legend. David Gemmell. Verdict: Exceptional
The Stormcaller. Tom Lloyd. Verdict: Good.
The Last Guardian. David Gemmell. Verdict: Brilliant
Reviews for all the books are on my Blog.
They Bring The Thunder (Spell's Challenge). Progress: Steady.
Untitled short story. Progress: On Hold.
The Anti-Trauma Initiative - Progress: Finished!
Awards and Recognition.
And so that's it. After months of writing and days of reading the comes to an end. What a challeng it has been. Everybody who has been involved has given it their all and I'm just sorry that there were so many who were unable to get theirs in. Legend's Challenge
Below are the triumphant winners. I'll be giving thoughts and feedback on all the entrants real soon, as well as a detailed review on each of the winner's pieces.
A big thank you to everybody who took part. This has been hugely enjoyable and, as much as I look forward to getting back to my own writing, I'll really miss pestering you guys for your entries. The original plan was to only FAN the winners, but everybody has earned a FAN request as not one of the entries was below standard.

In lands and times long since relegated to fairy tales and myths, life was simple; ruled by a single code – the code of honour. A man without honour was no man at all. There is only one law that supersedes that of a man’s honour, and not for any other reasons than that an honourable man is too scared to say otherwise.
This is the Law of a Woman.
Best Character goes to:
