Hi...

My name's Daniel and I'm 22 years old from South Africa, Joburg

My pen name irritates me cause I'm already over it...

I've always read but I have no idea why and no real interest in reading for long periods of time anymore but I think it's just another phase I have to pass through.

I read everything, currently I'm reading Ulysses by Joames Joyce which is a complete and utter bitch of a novel but I have enjoyed it so far...stream of consciousness novels are nearly as absurd as Harold Pinter only not so looming and violent, Pinter is to books what The Butthole Surfers are too music. Music is probabaly more important to me than reading and writing because its totally awesome and how can't mosh to a book, now can you?

I've written probably just as long as I've read but I haven't adopted my own style just yet. I'm interested in writing and experimenting in different types of ways to write rather than sticking to a standard method and churning out page-turners. I usualy don't finsh any of my writing experiments because I find another way to write that I think is cooler because it's all fresh and new and thus one idea must give way to a new one as the former idea cannot or does not fit in with the new style of writing I feel like trying out.

Although I'm retarded when it comes to writing I like it and think of it not as a possible profession but a game or something that preserves my current mind-set more than anything else in the whole entire big hugerrific world. I normally use a lot of profanity when I'm writing but its not intended to shot but is rather necessary to capture the themes in my stories rather than help them stand out as rude abhorations. Technique rather than context is important to me as well as absurd writing because its interesting to read something that bends the rules than fits to the form but whatever it could just be me.
