In the warm nights this cold city unravels and expands all around me, finally free
The endless cycles reinforce all around, and I know its subltle hold
To hear it upon the language, and see it upon the walking motions;
and to think for a second it will somehow stand the test of time...
So just how helpless to this pattern of our million times past are we
to know destruction awaits to rebuild once again
