I garden, currently focusing on gourds, fruits and berries, and bamboo. Along the way I have attended a military academy (Coast Guard), fenced, rowed crew, fought in the SCA, crossed the Atlantic on a three-masted sailing ship, transited the Straits of Gibraltar five times, and played a lot of war games. And now I write, too.
