I originally tested the waters with two novels: one from 2008 and the other 2009.

The GEENIE novel is best if you want a conventional sort of novel.
It has a decent female fanbase; called a romantic story even though it has war ties, gritty violence, and Nazis. I have ten chapters up for reading so far. In total, this novel may be 65% complete. If you want more, contact me.

The ALPHA novel is maybe more for guys, "gamer" types (as I originally tried to cater this one to), or even people who like reading anything military-related - but could have appeal to those who like uncovering character traits within a story and doing a little detective work.

This novel is six chapters from completion (95%?), and very unconventional. All but these last six unwritten chapters can be read in any order: almost a compilation of short stories from five points of view. I'll leave it up to the readers to decide if I should [at least] hint who the "voice" is in each chapter. There is no POV-switching within any of the chapters, and each has a unique style and backstory. Even if the chapter doesn't seem related to the story as a whole...it's a character reveal with long-term payoff. So far I have five chapters of it up: one for each person telling their story.

I'll add more to either novel depending on how much encouragement I get.

No offense, but Nano alumni get higher priority. I was a "winner" doing Nanowrimo once again, getting in 60k+ words. The novel isn't finished, but that's how it usually goes for me. Nov 29, 2011 Kindergarten Dropout is totally different than my other novels, but rough as ever with this first draft. =) Though aimed at a younger audience, it should have wide appeal. Think of it as a more modern-day version of Ramona Quimby set in Arizona.

Been a long time coming, right? Nanowrimo is back underway. Nanowrimo 2010 is OVER. My final word count is 56,862. I got 50k the day before Thanksgiving and then chilled a little bit I guess. The Geenie story is still in progress, but I am in 30s for chapters. I'll guess it's 65% finished as a first draft.

(Updates are slowed since it seems I can't add news easily from Firefox.) At any rate, I finished the Alpha novel during my second week of NaNoWriMo and now I'm a day in getting back to the Geenie story. It's slow going but I'm 30k/50k approximately and have every intention to "win" the writing marathon for a fifth time. Don't forget to check out the latest written chapter as the "Latest Excerpt" link which updates as soon as I finish a chapter.

For those who didn't notice, I'm a week into NaNoWriMo with around 15k/50k to show for it. Keep checking my "Latest Excerpt" in the featured reading. I also started editing the date I last updated it as well.

A couple weeks ago I posted three short stories. If I get more popularity, I will post at least one more. There are many more chapters available on both posted novels. If more are requested, I will post them. I am also considering writing a Chasing Alpha character article...but not sure if it's needed yet.
