This is a poem I wrote while bored in detention at...
Hi, this is MyChemicalDemon here, and I'm just saying hello! I'm hoping to be an author/sllash musician (both if possible) when I'm older, so I thought starting to publish my work now might help with that.
I write quite dark stories mostly, with macabre themes and morbid influences. However, I think they're just enjoyable; they're not just for the "emo" crowd or whatever you want to call us. I love a wide variety of books - from historical adventures to gritty horror - and am capable of writing most genres well. At least, that's what everyone else says!
Apart from my taste in literature, I'm a very big music enthusiast, as I mentioned briefly before. My favourite band is My Chemical Romance, and some other of my favourites are Slipknot, Black Veil Brides, Florence + The Machine, Pencey Prep, Seth Lakeman and Panic! At the Disco. Yes, there's a right mix up: that's the way I like it. Quite a lot of the music I listen to has a darker sound and/or lyrics, but I don't think this means I'm a miserable person; it's just the type of thing I love.
I play the piano (Grade Six), am taking up singing lessons and play various string instruments. I'm just starting to teach myself the guitar (with my dad's help) and so far it's going well. I also compose my own songs - both the instrumental and lyrical aspects - and I'm secretly hoping to start a band with my best friends in a few years.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy my stories! And poems, and whatever else I decide to put on here. Whatever it is, I hope it's good: this is my first proper start in the career of authorism.
Wish me luck!
