"Storytelling is the chance to reach deep into someone's heart, the deepest most closed off parts, and speak life and hope into their life, & be close to someone in a way that teaching, preaching at, shouting, never could. There's a connection of life experience that is powerful."
-Curt Mega
"In any man who dies there dies with him
his first snow and kiss and fight
it goes with him."
-People by Yevgeny Yevtushenko
I'm relatively mad. I love to write, take photographs, design outfits, write some more, bake desserts, read fiction, program things, read about physics, and learn dead/fictional/dead fictional languages (Quenya, anyone?). I love to write fiction, which is what I want to do when I grow up. At the moment, I'm in a bit of a fanfiction mode, and I adore Glee (and Dalton!), Lord of the Rings, various musicals, Marvel stuff, Sherlock (Holmes - the books and the BBC series. I'll admit Jude Law was a fantastic Watson in terms of facial hair, but the films just made me laugh. And not how they were intended to), Merlin (I need to get back into watching it), Doctor Who, Hetalia (kolkolkol ^J^), Harry Potter, S.E. Hinton, West Side Story (<3) and whatever brilliant book I'm reading at the moment.
I love dance, even though I'm not very good at it. I've been taking classes for years and am currently studying modern, ballet/pointe, and hip hop. I believe that you should do something if you love it. As my friend Tai told me, "If you love to do something, then you're never bad at it."
I'm really shy. Or, at least, used to be - I'm working on it. I have the craziest friends ever and they've changed me so much. You really have no idea of the effect of friends on a girl until you're that girl who's never spoken a word in her life, suddenly befriending the zany, talkative girl.
My love of music is genetic. I'm a HUGE fan of pop-punk (Fall Out Boy, Panic!, Paramore, Green Day, Evanescence, Rise Against, Transit, Jimmy Eat World) and indie (Florence + the Machine, a bunch of Bandcamp stuff no one's ever heard of), but I'm also really into rock from the 70s-90s...The Clash, the Ramones, U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billy Joel.
