Thirteen chapters into my story, and I’m on strike.
Why?
Italics.
Italics are an important part of the formatting of future chapters of my story. The Booksie Editor is happy to give italics the respect they deserve. The Booksie Publisher, however, shows the ultimate disrespect by stripping them away entirely.
I will not publish again until the current Booksie Publisher is replaced with a more democratic one, a publisher that won’t discriminate between forms of punctuation, but will simply present to the world, the writers words as written.
