A colleague shared a thought on 'faith' one morning....
I write. poetry, my thoughts, the things which compel my heart, moves me, hurts me. I like words, it is my playground. I enjoy my work because it is what I have wanted to do. It is my strength, my minister, the very thing which speaks to me, builds me up, shapes me and sometimes breaks me down. I believe words are powerful - it can change and transform if used in the manner it should be. I am funny, I love laughter: not being laughed at but the joy of making others laugh and being a part of bringing joy to someone who needs it. All of this is, I believe, a gift and a tool, for change. If my writing can bring change or influence in some positive way, then I have accomplished my goal and fulfilled at least a grain sized part of the great purpose God has called me into in His mercy and love.
