Hi there ^^ I'm Rob Lefevre, an 18 year old poet/ musician from the UK. I occasionally write short fantasy novels; but my heart belongs to poetry. I'm not sure what to write in these damn boxes, so i'll start telling you a little bit about myself. To start on a crappy note, i swear like fucking crazy. I also suffer from psychosis, this means i have a series of complicated mental health problems, my main difficulty is hearing voices and becoming hideously depressed. My writing, and my girlfriend keep smiles on my face though. Everything i write had a dark, mysterious sort of feel to it, thats because in a sense only people who suffer like me will understand the literal meanings behind what i say, but to everyone else, some strong metaphors to make you reconsider your values are always present.
To sound like a massive nerd though, i adore Shakespeare. The metaphors behind his work, and the old english writing style he used to write with; blow my mind. I try to write similary metaphorically, in fact, one of my abundant number of nicknames at school was Shakespeare; ^^ solely because I tend to write an awful lot of poems. My favourite poem though just has to be "shall i compare thee."
For any writers that enjoy my style, or the way that i write; feel free to ask for some advice, or send me an extract and i'll show you how to spruce it up a bit. I've had publishing offers many times for my poetry, but when i was 16, i had no interest in writing, other than as a hobby. I just hope with getting my writing across to you all, that one day, something may become of my life-long dream to be a writer. Thank you <3
