Not a fan of summaries, particularly. I don't think you need to know so much about the author - I like the writing to do the talking.
Face it, did we need to know anything about J R R Tolkien or Stephanie Meyer or Charles Dickens to enjoy their books?
(Although I admit to never having read Twilight)
I'd like to think that what I've written entertains you, makes you fall madly in love (or at least makes you wish you were madly in love), thrills you, and makes you think a little about the world you live in.
If I can do anything of those things for you, my work is done.
But . . . in case you are interested, this novel was written to a soundtrack that involves a LOT of Muse and Sigur Ros. Don't know who they are? Well, do yourself a favor (as Muse say) and find out. I like to think that some of their ethereal, challenging overtones has crept into this work. Their music might appear to be polar opposites, but in truth, the muscianship is similar.
Also: Ashes 2 is already written and comes in at longer than Ashes itself. Ashes 3 is about to be started.
