To the recent messeges and reading requests that I haven't repllied to or read yet, I apologize my dear fellow-Booksians :) my exams are going on and I assure you that as soon as I am done with them, I'll get back to you! Thank you for your patience!
Before any of my kind visitors proceed on with my bio, I'd like to say that for reasons not comprehensible to me, Booksie isn't showing my page the way I have intended it to- including font styles, color, and sometimes even the spacing and font size! I noticed this problem on a few other pages too, while some are okay. Could anyone please tell me if there is a way to fix this?
Thanks! :)

Hi ![]()
first and foremost, let me thank you for coming to my profile and taking time to read my bio. I have been on Booksie for more than two years and this amazing place has provided me with a platform to express myself through writing whatever my heart felt like. It is very rewarding to be able to express oneself and let the world into what we think and dream about.
I love reading and reviewing, and try to leave back helpful feedback and wholesome criticism whenever I can. It helps a lot when the gesture is returned! Speaking of which, I have an apology to make to all the writers who have been leaving me reading requests. Due to classes and exams held on regular basis I am not able to spend as much time as I'd like on Booksie so I have a mountain load of stuff to read from the reading requests. I am sorry for having taken so long to read your work, especially novels. For the same reason, I request you to leave requests for poetry and short stories only, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can!
I am sincerely sorry for the delay in reading the novels. as they take a little more time and concentration.
If there is anything that upstes me when I review is rushing through the reading material due to shortage of time.
Alright, seeing that this is the autobiographical section, here are a few things about me. ![]()
I'd describe myself as an aggressive pacifist and an optimistic dork.
I have been told that i have an "extreme personality." Fact is, what I like, I like and what ticks me off can turn me off hideously. I have also been told that I am extremely considerate and forgiving, so my conclusion is having an extreme personality with a considerate side isn't so bad. ![]()
I am twenty-something year old but can easily revert to a five year old if the situation calls for it.
I am very reserved and shy though I am pretty good at hiding it. I cannot stand crowds and noise and I'm socially very awkward.
I have a lot of respect for honest, kind-hearted people who are comfortable with themselves. This isn't easy I know since its been only recently that I take pride in who i am and give myself the consideration that I never used to before.
I am a vegetarian, hoping to go vegan in the future.
I do not like homophobes. In fact I cannot stand any stupid kind of bullies. It is one of my deepest and fervent wishes that our brothers and sisters belonging to the LGBT community would not be stigmatized by societial norms. I am straight but would love to interact and meet people from the this unique community. No one should have to live with social stigma. I speak from the receiving end and I understand how it unecessarily taints the innocent. The people who derive pleasure from such acts are worse off than the ones they victimise.
Growing up, I've had my share of good and bad experiences. I had a circle of friends, but that didn't really keep me away from the bullying I faced. That made me realize how important it is to have true friends who love you for who you are.
I think every person ever born matters and the lives we lead have no say in snuffing out an individual's brilliance.
I adore animals and dogs have a very special place in my heart. ![]()
I love handing out ORANGE BOXES and it's an absolute delight to receive them too!
I AM A PUBLISHED WRITER!!
It's not a case for serious hype or fame, but it makes me feel like I got a bit of the dust from Heaven's thresholds in my hands. It means a lot to me and i just wanted to share it with you all :)
My short story "The Web-line" which is one of the featured writings on my page was published in the August issue, 2011 of Eclectic Times, an awesome Indian magazine, which does the amazing job of trying to bridge our cultural differences in the best possible manner. I feel proud that I could be a part of it . I could never thank my amazing teacher (for privacy I shall refrain from mentioning their name) enough who recommended me to the editor!!
I write sporadically, most times my poems are the results of my spontaneous ramblings. Writing makes me happy, to be simply put. It helps me open up my soul. The simple gesture of putting down life's experiences on a piece of paper makes me happy :)
Continuing with what Maddie Patrick has started a while back, I'm joining this humble crusade against bullying:
The girl you just called ugly? She spends hours putting makeup on hoping people will like her.
The boy you just tripped? He is abused enough at home.
That guy you just made fun of for crying? His mother is dying.
IF U HAVE A HEART PLEASE COPY AND PASTE THIS ON YOUR PROFILE TOO. LET'S MAKE A MOVEMENT TO STOP BULLYING!
IF YOU DO COPY THIS LET MADDIE PATRICK KNOW SO SHE CAN ADD YOU TO HER LIST :)
I found another of these amazing anti-bullying messages on future author's page, who in turn, found it on Mikey CD's page. It's one of those lovely chain reaction movements!
Dear Bullies,
That boy you punched in the hall today; committed suicide a few minutes ago. That girl you called a slut in class today; she's a virgin. That boy you called lame; has to work every night to support his family. That girl you pushed down the other day; is already being abused at home. The girl you just called ugly? She spends hours putting makeup on hoping people will like her. The boy you just tripped? He is abused enough at home. See that man with the ugly scars? He fought for his country. That guy you just made fun of for crying? His mother is dying. You think you know them? Guess what, you don't. Copy and Paste this to your profile if you are against the mean bullying. I bet 99% of you wont. IF U HAVE A HEART, YOU WILL COPY AND PASTE THIS ON YOUR PROFILE TOO STOP BULLYING! SPREAD THE WORD! ♥♥♥
Thank you for dropping by, hope you like my work. Please leave comments and if you happen to like some of my poems/ short-story/ novella, please let me know! Like everyone else on Booksie, ORANGE BOXES make me really happy so please leave me some! I'm extremely grateful to my fans, readers who sail through my pages and especially to those who leave comments behind- it really helps me know how I'm faring.
