Well, hello, there.
I see you've come across my blog...or whatever this is meant to be.
You know, it wasn't until when I was in the seventh grade that I realized I wanted to be a writer. Before then, I didn't know that I had a knack for writing. I didn't know what I wanted to do when I grew up; I didn't know what I was good at. When someone would ask me what my favorite subject was in school, my reply would be different every time. None of the subjects really appealed to me. I thought I would never find something I was good at.
Then came seventh grade. My English teacher told me that I had a gift, and she encouraged me to keep writing. Then, later on in the year, she helped me raise money for a writing camp that she had recommended for me. To enhance my writing skills, I went to the camp during the summer.
After then, I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote stories for articles, websites, etc. Many times, I would get rejected. But rejection just means that I've tried, and that I should try harder next time.
And that, my friend, was how my interest in writing came to be.
