A simple poem on the necessity of love
I am a resident of North India, my mother tongue being Bengali, an eastern Indo-Aryan language. Other than English and Bengali, I also speak Hindi and Sanskrit. A student of science in my last year of high-school and a worshipper of naturural forces, my name is hard to be pronunciated properly in English (it's actually Sanskrit), and the direct translation of my name is 'The Flame that never extinguishes', a Vedic term used to denote the Aryan Sun God, Surya. And that's the little mystery behind my Pen-name here, 'The Eternal Flame', a common way of referring to the Sun, the dispeller of darkness and father of mankind.
A programming hobbyist and supporter of th concept of reductionism in physical sciences, I am also an admirer of classical poetry, in Indo-European languages such as English, Bengali, Sanskrit etc. A student of science and yet a devoted supporter of pantheism, I believe I have a little understanding of both, combining which I attempt to design or craft pieces of poetry.
An ardent and devoted supporter of linux and open-source, I am proud to be a member of the Indian Linux Community. Freedom of expression, that's poetry.
[ West Bengal, India ]
P.S: I usually read only poetry, articles and short stories. So, if you request me to read some of your other works, I will definitely try to do so, but can't guarentee that.
Additionally, I have the policy that I never bug others with 'reading requests'. As such, I don't always pay any attention to the requests pending on my page either.

Amidst this vast cosmos Through deep space and time Alone I walk ever, in awe. Amidst infinite mystery Art Thou, Lord of All, Alone in Thy glory, ever silent. Across endless space, From the stars beyond count Thy gaze falls on me, I gaze back at Thee. Silence descends, The world rests in peace. Eternal One, amidst Thy Oneness Alone I dwell, ever fearless.
