So this plagiarism pandemic going around right now...can I assume it's a phase? I mean, are we just now discovering that people have been stealing our writing or has it just started happening? It really is a shame that talented and popular writers are becoming discouraged because their work isn't being protected. I suppose that's the risk you take for posting online, but how desperate do people have to be? They clearly don't understand the triumph a writer feels when they finish a story they are proud of or receive praise from other writers they hold in high esteem. If they aren't creative enough or dedicated enough to write something themselves then they should stick to something they are really passionate about. Enough of my rant. Don't plagiarize. It's lame, illegal, and cowardly.

"...the quality of prose leaves a lot to be desired." Okay, I respect everyone's opinion on my work - good or bad. But this is essentially telling me that my writing is not good enough (even though the idea was okay) and then they left me hanging! They told me to keep working at it and my writing would improve. Not cool. If you are going to tell someone they need to improve, give them suggestions on how to improve. So I have this to say to the person who wrote that after reading only the first chapter of my story: your comment leaves a lot to be desired. Take a little more time and give some advice if you are going to bother leaving a comment on my work.

If you are going to criticize, learn how to critique. I'll be able to take your comments seriously. A good writer should always be open to negative and possitive feedback, but there is nothing more disheartening than a bad comment without suggestion or acknowledgement. Come on, people! Help me be a better writer! Let me know how you would improve it so I can get some other ideas flowing because, really, saying it sucks just doesn't cut it for me. Thankfully I deal with deception better than Rebecca does. These chapters, the 'Thursday chapters' as I call them, are ironically timed because I feel like I am going through something similar - like when I wrote them it was foreshadowing my own life. Its not in the same context, yet it still hurts and I can't help feeling like a fool. But it really makes you realize the important things in life and I'm using it as a way of focusing on the people and things that really matter to me. I'm so lucky to have a husband and family who support me and will never, EVER put anything before them again.

Seriously? I just got a comment from someone saying they were losing interest and couldn't bother reading my story anymore because I had taken too long to update. Sorry to all my readers if you feel I take too much time between updates but the writing is as important to me as the story. I want to create something special, something amazing perhaps, and don't want to rush through the writing or the story and ruin everything that I've created. I'm so grateful for all of the incredible comments and support I have received regarding screaming in the silence and my fans really do encourage me to keep writing, and keep writing well. But I write for me and my benefit. I write because I enjoy it and because it's something that relaxes me. To the anonymous person who wrote that comment, don't read my story anymore. I'm not obligated to keep up with your interests. My true fans appreciate my work and are willing to wait for a better product and those are the readers I aim to please. Those are the readers that make my day with their comments, make me feel like I've accomplished something when they become connected to my characters. So a big, huge thank you to everyone who has read and supported my story, stuck with it since the beginning. And a not so sad goodbye to those who are impatient and can't appreciate all of the work I have put into this piece. ~ Much love, Pink

Seriously bad day at work! Why do people have to be so hateful? I just don't get it. All I want to do is write but I don't have time which gives me anxiety. But thank you to everyone who has left comments on my novel! Those always make my day better :)
