When I began writing Alembic, my father was alive and now a few weeks later he has passed away. I do not however dedicate this episode to him. I am saving that dedication for the continuation of Third Way because it is the only way I can keep a promise that I made to myself. It is strange how during the events of the funeral days that I heard coming out of my own mouth words that Sarah said in Chapter 13 of Summer Camp. This, of course, has nothing to do with Alembic but sometimes life does indeed imitate art. I may do a Guide to Season Three -- certainly a guide appears to be necessary for Runes -- and there perhaps I may have something more profound to say about Alembic which was quite an experience for me. Everything seemed to be keeping me from finishing the episode but I finished it anyway. On toward the season finale in episode 26. As to whether that is also the series finale, I leave to the hit counter at Booksie and my readers.

My father just passed away yesterday and the funeral preparations along with a stressful day job have thrown a monkey wrench into plans to finish up Season Three in July (or early August) Last episode will be twenty-six and if there is a fourth and final Season Four depends on whether I find a part-time job, if I am not homeless, if I can find the time to write, and the rest of the family lets me write in peace. And if enough people read the series at Booksie. The hit counter does not count my stories being read elsewhere on the internet and these statistics determine what I will concentrate on (kind of like the decision to renew or cancel the Sarah Connor Chronicles). My mother knew I was a writer but my father had no clue. He departed this life thinking I was a financial failure. And he was right--so far. The next chapter of my life has not been written by me yet. I wanted to wrap Season Three so I could get back to Summer Vacation. The other series can wait. Most of the other series have chapters already written and just waiting for me to publish them. The notable exception is The Third Way. I dedicate that series to my father. When I resume it, you the reader will know that I have gotten a business going (a lifelong dream) and can devote more time to writing. I had wanted my father to live long enough to see me start a business. If it is any comfort to me, I did tell him once that I was trying to start one.

What is your favorite vision of the Sarah Connor Chronicles universe? The clean-cut kids in the golden times before the war in The Third Way? (my personal favorite) The professional government world of Aftermath? THe normal or abnormal adventures of "Engage!" ? The stuck-in-Season-One world of the numbered series of short stories? The holiday stories? summer reads like Summer Camp and Summer Vacation? The "as-close-to-the-spirit-of-the-show-as-I-can-make-it" Season Three? The unpredictable Terminator High? There is only one way to vote that will affect what I do and that is reading what you like here at Booksie. Read it elsewhere such as by email or a Google cached or other re-direct and I won't know you read it. (Oh, and there are several series that have not premiered yet). There will only be a "Season Four" if "Season Three" is read. And it is too early to tell if it will pass "Summer Camp" in readership.
