I have always loved reading, losing myself in a new and wondrous world. This is a trait I inherited from my father, who seemed to enjoy anything regardless of genre.
I primarily enjoy fantasy / urban fantasy. I love following a new character through his/her self discovery and learning how they fit into the world. To keep my attention a book has to grab hold of me emotionally. Of course sitting in an airplane trying to hide the fact that tears are streaming down my face or startling people as I unintentionally laugh out loud due to something I just read is a bit embarrasing.
