I am a 13-year-old writer in the 7th grade and I hope you all like my writing. I write mystery, action, and adventure novels. Those are also my favorite types of novels. My works are my standalone mystery novel "The Island's Legacy" , my survival novel "How To Survive...", and my newest work, my crime series "A Different Type Of Crime".
I am not a big romance fan at all unless it is mixed with another genre, like "The Arid Land Series" by Arid Land Kate. Actually, that is one of the best things on Booksie.
STUFF ABOUT ME!
I'm kind of an energetic person. I love the New York Yankees. They have two of my favorite players: Derek Jeter and Robinson Cano. I also like Josh Hamilton but he doesn't play for the Yankees. He plays for the Angels. I love to read and I read at a twelfth grade level. So I can read some more mature content, not X-rated mature, but I can handle a few curse words, as long as its not overboard sailor language.
I like to listen to smooth jazz music (and yes, that IS different for someone my age, but who cares). Some of my favorite artists are Dave Koz, Brian Culbertson, Michael Franks, and Steve Cole. And I bet most of you have never heard of these people, because smooth jazz is not very popular among younger audiences. But I like other types of music, too. No specific genres, but songs I like that happen to be in genres other than jazz.
My favorite color is blue, although I am color blind and mistake certain shades for purple. So I guess I only like certain shades of blue because I hate purple (< that is purple, right? Just kidding, Booksie has labels on the colors, lol.)
READING REQUEST POLICIES
Anyway, my reading request policies are pretty simple. Just let me know on my page and I'll check it out when I find the time or when I feel like it. If you ask me to read something romance-based, don't be offended if I don't read it. I just don't like romance. But I just might read your stuff, so you never know.
Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention: Abosolutely NO erotica!!!! I may be a mature 13-year-old, but I'm still only 13. And to be honest, that my least favorite out of all genres. So don't even ask me to read anything of the kind.
UPDATE: My reading list is super long and I am not accepting reading requests at the moment. Sorry for the inconvenience. I am also really busy at the moment with school and baseball, but I really owe it to two people, so they are the only ones who can give reading requests at the moment.

~THE ISLAND'S LEGACY ~
When Adam Burns and his family are invited to spend their summer in a private manor on a private island, his parents pack their bags immediately. Adam questions the sudden arrival of the invitation, but his parents have no suspicions. After he arrives on the island, he is told to avoid the fourth floor of the east wing. And why does a strange fog hang over the forest? To complicate things, weird events begin to take place. After an unexpected discovery, Adam and his younger brother, Phil, realize that their family history is tied to the island. It's up to them to set out on a journey through the island's vast forest and attempt to prevent a horrible fate from befalling their family and the island. Will they break the curse? Or will curse break them?
HOW TO SURVIVE...
High-school junior Graham Gibson has always had trouble fitting in. He was always made fun of because he was smart. He got good grades, won every single academic award he had access to, and never got in trouble. You'd think he'd love that life, but no- he hates it. He has no friends and is constantly picked on. The one person who does it the most is Terry Openheimer, the school's star basketball player. Things seem to brighten up when Graham gets to go on a field trip to Europe. Things are fine until one terrible event takes place: the plane loses control and crashes into the wilderness. Only seven students survived and no one knows the first thing about survival. Except for Graham. Can he step up and be a leader for people who hate him? Can Graham prove that being a good student can be the one thing between life and death?
I AM SUFFERING FROM WRITER'S BLOCK SO THIS NOVEL IS ON HOLD!!!
A DIFFERENT TYPE OF CRIME
In the year 2070, the U.S. government had a breakthrough. They had found a new source of energy that was derived from a resource found on a space mission. It had special scientific properties that made it reusable, and the whole world was excited about it. But one day, an accident occurred in the secret base where experimenting took place. This resource somehow caused an explosion that wiped out the whole state of Oregon, and parts of surrounding states.
Apparently, a chemical was released during the explosion. It sailed beyond the blast zone; beyond the fallout zone for that matter. But no one could see this chemical. No one could smell it. No device could sense it. It was only noticed in the year 2072, when strange things began happening all over the country. Some people, random people, gained strange abilities. No one knows why only some people got them and not all.
And the government has created a special unit for stopping those who use theirs for the wrong purposes. Joseph Carter is part of that unit.
BOOK 1: UNSTABLE FLAME

Its a case that's right up their alley. And Joseph and his partner, Natalie Strong, are on the case. Will they be able to take the heat, or will they burn to ashes?

Dear Bullies, That boy you punched in the hall today; committed suicide a few minutes ago. That girl you called a slut in class today; she's a virgin. That boy you called lame; has to work every night to support his family. That girl you pushed down the other day; is already being abused at home. The girl you just called ugly? She spends hours putting makeup on hoping people will like her. The boy you just tripped? He is abused enough at home. See that man with the ugly scars? He fought for his country. That guy you just made fun of for crying? His mother is dying. You think you know them? Guess what, you don't. Copy and Paste this to your profile. Show that you care.
And here is a list of Booksie members that I owe a great amount of thanks to for being very supportive, for reading my stuff, and/or making me a much better writer.
