Chapter 2

The next day, the siblings set to work with their remaining resources. Katie went outside to erect a large fence around their house. Darren made a tree garden in the backyard and used bone meal to instantly grow them so they would still have access to wood. Steve was busy making a spawner house underground. That way, they could get more resources from killing mobs. When Darren was finished, he joined Steve and helped him finish their spawner house. Then, with their diamond armor, butter swords, and wheat, went out to gather anmals to make a farm. Then, they could get food. Darren had to cut down five trees to make enough fence to completely guard the farm. Then he planted more trees and used more bone meal to grow them. Then they relaxed. Soon, night fell. Katie stayed inside to cook pork and chicken. Darren and Steve were out in different spots aound the house patrolling. Katie ate some, and knowing they must have grown hungry and went outside and gave them each two fish to eat. She then went back inside to put the rest of the food in the upstairs chests. and no sooner did she walk through the door did Steve see an arrow fly. But he did not move nor alert the others, as he did not need to. They had placed iron blocks 2 block-spaces above the top of the house. But they were patrolling just in case a stranger- or the one from last night- took further action. Morning came. Steve and his brother came in for breakfast. Katie had cooked chicken and presented some apples she harvested herself weeks before. They ate breakfast and rested. So far so good, Steve thought.
