Times of Darkness

Chapter One

This book is about a 16-year old girl named Selicia Jameson. She grew up in the time period called, Times of Darkness. It was a time of starvation and thirst. All crops were dead. All animals were exstinct and all rivers except one, were either, muddy, dried, moldy, or mosquito homes. Or so they thought.

Selicia and her friend Josiah had always been curious. When they were they explored together, and always found the answers. Josiah was seventeen years old. He had light brown hair and deep blue eyes. Selicia is as you already know 16. She has dark brown hair and blue eyes. Ocasionaly her two friends Sophia and Senora joined the adventures. Sophia had black hair and big brown eyes, she was almost fifteen years old. Sanora had dirty blond hair and blue eyes. She was 16-years of age.

"Josiah must you be so energetic all the time?" Asked Sophia.

"Just because your so boring all the time does not mean you should criticize me!" Said Josiah with a grin.

"Take it back!" Said Sophia.

"You!" Said Josiah.

"No you!"

"You!!"

"YOU!!"

"Hey hey hey, break it up you two, it's getting irritating!"

"Yeah!" Said Senora.

"Let's explore the cave over there!" Said Josiah.

"We don't have a lantern, dummy." Said Sophia.

Josiah held up a lantern in his hand. "Who did you say was the dummy?"

"Shut it!" Said Sophia.

"You!" Said Josiah.

"No you."

5 minutes later

"Doesn't look like much!" Said Selicia.
