Ed walked into the kitchen with Brooke.

''What?'' he asked almost impatiently.

''She's my daughter?" Brooke gave Ed a look that meant duh-shes-the-daughter-ive-been-crying-about-every-night-for-four-years.''Oh! Right, I uh, didn't recognize her. Sorry?'' Ed gave her a long look of embarrassment.

"Okay, okay. Why don't we just ask where she came from? Then maybe we can figure out why she needs help and, by extension, why she came here.''

''Okay. But…''

"But what?"

''It's just that…I was kinda hoping she could stay with us. You know, have some time with her mum and new dad…" Ed admitted.

"What do you mean 'new dad'?" Brooke asked, sounding almost suspicious. Ed pulled out a diamond ring, got down on one knee, and asked,

"Brooke, will you marry me?"

"Yes yes yes yes yes! A million times yes!" was Brooke's reply. Ed stood up, Brooke hugged him and she started to cry.

"What?" came Addison's small, soft voice. "Yes to what?"
"Edy just asked mummy to marry him!" Ed told her.

"What's marry?" Addison asked calmly.

"It's when two people love each other very much, and they want to be together forever, until they die of course." Explained Brooke.

"When?" Addison asked.

"What sweetie?" Brooke asked, her eyes twinkling with tears.

"When will he marry you?" Addison asked curiously.

"Uhh…" Ed stammered. Brooke and Ed looked at each other, both surprised at Eds response.

"The fourth of July!" Ed exclaimed after a mument of silence.

"The fourth of July?! Under the fireworks?!'' Brooke asked, more excited than ever before. Well, no, that's a lie.

"Whatever you want Brooke, dear." Ed answered.

"Really?! I love you so much!!" Brooke said, love in her tear-lined eyes.

"What are fireworks?" Addison asked tem softly.

"Fireworks are those lights in the sky that go boom remember?" Brooke said.

"Oh yeah. I remember those things. Mummy said I always cried." Addison said enthusiastically.

"Wait a sec, that's the day before your birthday!" Ed said, clearly just realizing it.

"That will make it even more special!" Brooke said, admiringly looking at Ed.

"Does that make you my daddy? If you marry mumma?" Addison asked.

"I don't know…does it?" Ed asked, almost worried.

"Yes, dear, it does. Brooke answered. "Well technically it would make you her stepdad."

"What's a stepdad, mumma?" Addison asked, turning to Brooke.

"It's a dad who…well I don't know how to explain it to a four year old…well I guess it's a dad-no-it's your mothers husband who's not really related to you…I think."

"Oh." Addison said, disappointed.

"What sweetie?" Brooke asked, trying to sound as loving as possible, considering she was getting married under the fireworks.

"It's just that I…I w-…" Addison thought.

"What is it honey?" Brooke asked, more love in her voice than last time.

"I just wish he was raleted to me. That's all." Addison admitted.

"It's related, hun. And why do you wish he was actually related to you?" Brooke asked her.

"I don't know." Addison said, the slightest embarrassed.

There was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it!" Brooke said, running to the door.

"Hello, uhm…" An elderly woman said.

"Call me Brooke." She told her.

"Hello, Brooke." The man said shortly.

"Hi…" Brooke said almost suspiciously.

"We heard our daughter, Addison, was here." The woman said.

"Uhh…" Brooke stammered. Who are these people? Why do they want Addison, MY daughter? How did they know she was here? Brookes mind swam with these questions. "Not to be rude, but, who are you…?"

"Addison's parents." The woman said in a tone that meant you-should-have-known-that-already.

"I'm Elytt, Elytt Ricio." The woman said with a faint smile.

"And I'm her husband, Drew Ricio." The man said without the slightest hint of happiness.

"And y-you're h-here t-t-to t-take V-Addison aw-way from-m m-me? Brooke was terribly frightened. She thought of all the possible answers she could get; yes, no, forever, for a week, day, year, hour, for as long as YOU live. She shuddered. Brooke didn't want them to take Addison from her again. Brooke had suffered four years, at the breaking point of killing herself to be with Addison again. "NO! You can't have her!" She yelled, blocking the door with her body. She was shaking with fury.

"What's wrong d-" Ed started to ask, running to the door, but then he saw who Brooke was screaming at. Dontay?" he asked.

"You know these people?" Brooke looked at him in such a way that meant are-you-kidding-me-you-know-these-people?

"Yes, honey. I do. This couple is my mother's grandparents." Ed explained.

"But their names are Elytt and Drew." Brooke told him.

"I know, but Drew told me to call him Dontay, because he didn't like his name, greep greep." Ed said.

"Why did you call him greep greep?" Brooke asked.

"Because I couldn't pronounce great grandpa." Ed said.

"Oh, okay." Brooke understood. "So, Dontay and Elytt, why are you here?" Ed asked them.

"I thought we already told you why we're here." Drew snapped at him. "We came to get Addison you dummy."

"RUDE. Okay, down to business now. No one is taking Addison anywhere without one of us. Ed said gesturing towards himself and Brooke.

"Yes. Of-of course. Come on Elytt, my dear." Drew said, turning to leave.

"NO! I will not leave until I get my daughter!" Elytt exclaimed.

"Elytt, honey, you need to calm down now. We're not getting Addison back. If she wants to live with Ed and Brooke, so be it. Addison gets to choose, shall she?" Drew tried to calm down his wife but failed.

"FINE. Then…lets go everyone." Elytt said.

"Where are we going?" Brooke asked politely.

"We are going to heaven. Would you like to come?" Elytt remarked almost sarcastically.

"Uhm, don't we kinda have to?" Brooke asked with slight attitude.

"Only if you want to bring Addison with us. If not, then you don't have to go." Drew snapped.

"Okay. Come everyone! We're going to heaven with the Ricios!" Ed called to the family.

"Yay!! I love heaven! There's lots of kids to play with. Like Gabe, who was slapped to death by his girlfriend Brianna who got shot by her enemy, Bethany. The there's Alex, Dylan, Pearl, Scott, Ben, Brian, Natasha, Sarah who's a bunch older than me, and Jack who all died of cancers." Addison rambled on and on about her friends up in heaven.

"Okay, sweetie, hush now." Brooke said kindly.

"Okay mumma."

Brooke put a finger to her lips in the quiet signal. Addison copied.

"How are we getting to heaven?" Ed asked Elytt.

"Well, we're flying, of course." She answered with a snap.

"But, we can't fly." Brooke added.

"Well, I guess we'll just have to kill you then, eh?" Drew and Elytt each pulled out big, heavy, blood-stained butcher's knives. Brooke, Ed, and Addison all ran into the house screaming. They blocked the front door with every heavy item in the house; the couch, the pots and pans, the dishes, everything they could find. But it was no use. Drew and Elytt crashed through the door with ease. They broke the dinnerware and slip the couch right in half. It was an atrocious sight. Drew and Elytt were on their way across the room to Ed, Brooke, and Addison, when the three vanished.
