Chapter 13

His face was emotionless as he messed with magic, then after only a few short moments he withdrew his hand, I didn't feel any different, then, everything went black.

"Saviour Girl, it is time you were awoken"

A voice spoke out, where am I?

"You are in a time vortex"

Ok? Bit weird

"Yes it would be, as this is your first time"

How can you tell what I'm thinking?

"I am part of your soul, mind and being. It is just at the moment you can hear my voice"

Ok...Do you have anything important to tell me?

"Yes, will you listen?"

"You were picked by three female elders, Beauty, Peace and Trust to bring equality to girls once more"

But that is impossible, girls have always been lower

"No it isn't, a long time ago now girls were treated as equals, no one had magic then and the government ran the country, all The Schools on this large island. Then one day a young man was given powers as a gift. He used his powers wrongly. He forced the government to their knees. Then he took control and started The First School. At first he let anyone enter but it came clear after a while that girls had domination to boys, being, now, an old man he banished all girls from School's, forcing them to become his slaves and that is how it has been for thousands of years"

Then why wasn't something done about this problem sooner?

"Let me finish my tale and then you will understand. Girls and women became slaves to this magician; he worked out how to block someone's power so that women could nothing about it and soon all was lost for the girls. For someone to do something about this problem, they needed to have studied a book on history and manage to get invited into a Lesson. The Elder's agreed they would wait and whenever a girl came in touch with magic they would be shown the same vision, a vision of how life used to be with women as equals to men."

But I didn't get this vision

"No, because you managed to fit all the boxes for a Saviour Girl, so instead, they sent me to tell you your mission and to aid you through it"

And what sacrifices will have to make for this?

"You will lose everything and in return all girls will gain the opposite?"

Will I have to give up Otter?

"Yes, eventually, but for now he is useful for you, for now you can stay with him"

And will I lose my life?

"As a final sacrifice, yes"

And can I tell anyone?

"Who do you have to tell?"

Jacob and Richard

"No, you must never tell a boy your intentions, but to make it easier for you, don't tell anyone, not even a soul"

Ok and when will you speak to me next?

"Every time you call for me, every time you use magic, and when you need me as well. Those are the times when I will come"

And may I return to reality now?

"Of course, till next time, goodbye, Saviour Girl"

The light came back to me, Jake's face was still looking up at me, and no time had passed but I could remember that conversation. I remember the voice saying that I couldn't tell a soul, so I couldn't let Otter see anything was different. So I smiled, looked away and spoke thickly saying "I'm fine now, thank you"

He nodded in reply and was about to speak when there was a knock at the door "Let me just get that" He said before walking away.
