I was walking home from school one day with my friend. We were walking a different way than we usually did. On the way, we saw the house everyone said was haunted. I had always thought it was a myth, but my friend believed the stories. She was terrified to go further and made go back and walk the way we usually did. When I got home, she stayed at my house. We did our homework then played truth or dare. On my turn, I chose dare. She told me I had to go inside the haunted house at night and stay in for 5 minutes. I was a little bit scared, but I acted like I wasn't. When it started getting dark, we went downstairs and told my mom we were going out. We didn't tell her where because we didn't want to get in trouble. When we got there it was raining. I slowly walked up to the house, hoping she would stop me, but she never did. I went inside the house and closed the door. I put a timer on my watch. When my watch beeped after 5 minutes, I turned around to open the door, but it wouldn't open. I pulled as hard as I could but it still wouldn't open. I remembered I had my phone. I took it out to call someone, but I had no service. I was stuck in the house unless I found another way out. So, I started to walk through the house. I started on the first floor. As I walked around, I thought it was a normal house. It was almost exactly like my house, but darker. I tried to turn the lights on but they wouldn't turn on. As I was looking through the drawers, I found a flashlight. I took the flashlight and extra batteries that were there too just in case. After searching the first floor completely, I found that there was no other way out on that floor, so I started walking upstairs. As I was walking up the stairs, I heard creepy noises. I was terrified to go further, but I knew I had to go. If there were unearthly creatures upstairs, they would be downstairs too. So I continued walking. When I got to the top of the stairs, I heard lightning. I stood there for a second, not because I was scared, but because I thought I heard someone else. I didn't hear it again and continued walking. I walked into a bedroom. It looked like a normal room with nothing in it. I looked around the room one more time before I left, and saw a boy hiding under the bed. It was mysterious why someone else would be in the house. I stood there confused and suspicious. I finally asked him who he was and what he was doing there. He started walking up to me. When he got up to me, he said his name was Brandon and he was there because he wanted to prove to his friends that the house wasn't haunted, but when he got inside, he realize it was. He said he's been there for a week and never found a way out. I still thought there was a way out though. I told him to come with me because I would find a way out, he didn't believe me, but he came with me anyways, knowing that nowhere would be safe. The rooms were very ominous. Most of the rooms had ghastly creatures, but I wasn't scared of them that much, all they said was boo, but Brandon was scared. When we went into the last room, he was so scared of that ghost he made us run really fast up to the third floor. We were walking down a long hallway with many rooms. We looked in every room. When we were towards the end, I saw a window at the end of the hallway I stopped looking through the rooms and ran to the end of the hallway. Brandon went up to the window and tried to open it, but it wouldn't open. I thought that maybe he was just weak and tried myself, but it wouldn't open. I was really scared and I didn't know what to do, so I started crying. I thought I would never see my friends and family again. I stopped crying and remembered a room that had a door to go to the attic. We went looking in all the rooms. When we found the room, we went in. We both climbed on chairs to go up. He went first then pulled me up. When I got up I looked around, it looked normal. It had things like chairs and boxes. Thinking there was nothing up there, we both sat down in chairs. In a few minutes, Brandon fell asleep. I didn't though, I thought about how terrified my friend must be. The dare was to go in for 5 minutes and I never came out. I also thought about my mom. After this long, my friend would've told her. As I was sitting there thinking, I saw a horrendous ghost. There was nowhere to run. I screamed at the top of my lungs. I didn't know what to do. I looked over at Brandon and thought he was sleeping. Then, I remembered I just screamed really loud. He wasn't sleeping, he was dead. I looked back at the ghost. It told me there was nowhere to run. It said that it was murdered and now it was my turn and it took out a knife. I was crying and screaming, There was nowhere to go, the ghost was gonna kill me. The ghost took the knife and stabbed me and I died. I never got out of the house and I died all because of a dare. People were breaking the house down. They didn't know where I was still. When they found my body, everyone started crying. The next day, they planned a funeral for me. I loved the way it was planned it was exactly how I would've wanted it to be. A lot of people went to the funeral. My friend spoke and said what happened. Apparently, she didn't tell anybody yet. My parents got really mad at her. I died all because of her. She got arrested and a few days later they decided to execute her. She was put in a room with a straight jacket so she couldn't move, they got out of the room, turned on the fire, and she was burned alive. Her parents were miserable like mine. Both are parents remained friends thought. They were happy that we could at least be together. They cry every day. All of that happened because of the house at the end of the street!
