Okay I'm not starting at the beginning; I don't see the importance of whoever finds this knowing how we escaped the takeover. I say this mainly because I have no idea how, just lucky I guess. All this is about what we are doing now; how we are surviving, how we are fighting back because right now it doesn't look like anyone else will.

26 April 2011

"What the hell is going on!?" Jesse screeched as soon as she got enough air in her lungs to speech. No one replied I don't think anyone could, all of us hunch over our hearts hammering 100ks an hour, talk about a rush. "Didn't we have a plan?"

It was typical Jesse clueless. The rest of us ignored her as we try even out our breathing trying to make sense of what had just happened. I let legs collapse underneath my weight. Somehow that one action brought her attention to me.

"Alice? What happened?"

"I...I don't know" l stammer much to my disgust my came out shaky in this high pitch squeal. "It all went so fast it's a blur"

"Well, at least you have your blur all I have is getting chased by twenty solders trying..." Jesse stopped mid-sentence, not something very often unfortunately. I looked up at her expecting her to continue on with her lecture but found her looking around at the 3 of us sitting in a little clearing in the bush. Just 3 and if felt this churning weight at the pit of my stomach something was wrong. "Where's Jake?"

It was like someone had just turned the switch on in our brains. We looked at each other expecting someone to say ' don't worry he's just running a bit late give him a minute' but this isn't a just give him 10 minutes thing it's war he didn't just stop to chat with a friend or grap a drink on his way.

"Maybe he got lost," it was my voice "it is a big bush it happens all the time"

"So what are we going to do?"

"maybe we can camp here tonight and if he hasn't found us we look around,' Sabrina. it was the first time she put any input in our plans.

"Yeah,"

"But what if he isn't lost?" Jason added I looked over at him, hunched over standing in the group but somehow not in the group. He only had one person in the group that you could call his friend and now he is missing.

No one answered him for awhile no one wanted to say it because if he wasn't walking around the bush clueless to where to go the he was lying in the twilight alone dead or dying.

"Are we going to light a fire?" Sabrina spoke up for the second time this evening, changing the subject all together. It got all of our eyes from the ground as if she had said something like 'don't worry he'll turn up and if he doesn't we will work it out then.' It had pushed away our anxiety for later.

"No," I found my voice all their gazes fell on me again, judging me. I knew what they were thinking, it was already starting to get uncomfortably cold "they might still be looking for us... and see the smoke."

"Fine, but if I get hyperthermia I blame you," Jesse said walking off to sit against a tree and with that with that everyone spread out without another word.
